POSITIVE PRODUCT REVIEWS FOR WASTE-LESS BAGS!
From www.momcentral.com, posted June, 2009
You're doing the green thing by bringing your own bags to the grocery store, right? When you remember to get them out of the trunk, that is. But doesn't lugging all those ugly totes make you feel like a crazy ol' bag lady?
Luckily, there's a chic, practical and affordable solution - Waste-Less Bags.
The company sent me a sample of their product, The Essential Line, which consists of three bags that come in a small pouch. The pouch is about as big as a makeup bag - perfect to keep in my purse at all times. The bags truly do roll up in a small enough bundle to fit into your hand and can easily fit into a jacket or pant pocket.
However, I was skeptical that one bag could hold as much as the picture on their website. You know what? It does. I took my Waste-Less Bags to Target and bought 11 items - underwear, a Groovy Girls stuffed horse, four pre-made pie crusts, two packages of sausages, buns, spices, and a bottle of lime juice. No problem to fit that all in ONE bag (each is designed to hold 25 pounds). Plus, it was comfortable to carry all that on my shoulder, too.
Other uses for Waste-Less Bags
I'm very impressed with these little bags and think they're a great gift for the eco-friendly people in your life - think stocking stuffers, teacher's gifts, etc. They're especially perfect for those those wanna be green dads. After all, most men don't want to be seen carrying a bunch of canvas bags around - too much like carrying a purse. (I'm being sarcastic, can you tell?) But if a man can place a few Waste-Less Bags in their pockets, briefcase or backpack, he may actually use them.
You can also bring them along camping, to the beach, thrift store shopping, or even to the library. They're also great to bring while traveling to shop with, or to hold all your gear when you head down to the pool. Heck, they're great laundry bags, too. For the kids, these are great to take to school to hold class projects. Or to a friend's house for an overnight stay since they'll hold lots of stuffed animals, their favorite blanket, and possibly their pillow, too.
The Essential Line sells for $9.99 for one pouch and three bags. The Fanciful Line sells for $19.99 for one pouch and four bags. Shipping is by UPS Ground. You can order online at the Waste-Less Bags website or buy them locally.

GO WASTE-LESS
Waste-Less Bags takes makes it even easier for carrying your reusable bags with you where it is you go. Are you ready - I have a confession and I'm blushing because I am about to admit this. I forget my reusable bags all the time. I had a bunch in my car and in my diaper bag but somehow they made their way back into the house and never again out to the car. I've been in my local newspaper a few times for a local green resource - my doubtfulness on going local for just this reason, being judged. Online you can't see me forget my bags but locally, oh yes I get glares. That never sets well with me, feeling judged but I should be more diligent and get back on the reusable bandwagon. I have only five-dozen reusable bags for crying out loud so I should get with it.
Waste-Less Bags are so easy to roll up and come in a convenient carry pouch so I use them, roll them back up and throw them in my carrying case to plop in my purse. Neat and tidy with no worries for being at the grocery store and hearing, "Paper or Plastic" I can say I have my own bags. The bags are very sturdy, I used them just the other day and there were no rips and they held a lot of stuff with ease of carrying.
I really do like the company and concept but wish the bags were a little "greener" so to speak and not shipped from China and made of polyester. I hear this over and over and see it debated online but I think there's another side to the reusable bags made out of polyester. Polyester is a plastic but it means that the bag will be sturdy and roll up for easy storage. It's helping people to change their behaviors and will last a long time because of how sturdy it is and therefore it is better for the environment. I'd rather see plastic pop bottles and water bottles be used for these bags and them come from the USA and not shipped across the world, that isn't too green but then we have a cost issue. Items are made in China so we can buy them inexpensively. Will we by a more expensive reusable bag? We say we will but then there is reality.
There are two sides of the coin, but reusable bags, hand downs help the environment. Perhaps Waste-Less can begin to look for recycled materials for future products? I have to say the compact size and sturdiness of the bags were a sell for me. Better then me saying I would like paper or plastic. A great gift, super chic and a great bargain for your money.

Waste-Less Shopping Bag System
Do you have a collection of $1 reusable shopping totes that you purchased with good intentions but that you always forget at home?
Introducing The Waste-Less Reusable Shopping Bag System!
The Waste-Less Reusable Shopping Bag System offers a true point of difference from the traditional reusable shopping tote that sells for $1-$2 in many grocery and big box retailers. Waste-Less bags are made from strong, yet pliable material, which allows them to be rolled up into a compact shape. The bags are attractive, convenient and can be wiped clean.
I love bags, but I can't remember to bring them with me. I found this system to be perfect because they roll up small with a handy Velcro tab, but when full size, can fit as much if not more than a plastic grocery tote.
I have on tucked neatly in my car door, one at work and one in my purse. At only $9.99 for a pouch of 3, the Waste-Less system is user-friendly, convenient, and affordable.

Reusable Grocery Bags You Won’t Forget At Home
It’s now February and I’ve been sticking to my New Year’s resolution to go greener this year. Most of my resolutions don’t make it past January, so I’m patting myself on the back. My latest find is the Waste-Less shopping bag, an improvement on the reusable grocery bag.
I’d been using the same bags that I bought at the checkout counter two years ago. They are big and bulky and I forget to throw them into the car half the time, which defeats the purpose. The Waste-Less bags are so lightweight and roll up small enough to fit in your pocket. Yet they somehow manage to carry an incredible amount of bulk and weight. After unloading my groceries, I just roll them up and throw them back into my purse.
Since I always have them handy, I’ve used them at the mall, the library and at the farmer’s market. It feels so good to tell the cashier, “No bag for me. I’ve got my own.”

Go Waste-Less
Funny, I know we have all thought about this.. at least I have. Why can’t they make a small bag or pouch that is “Green Friendly” and is handy to use?? Not just for groceries, but to carry anything we need to on a regular basis.
I try and do the Green thing by having cloth bags in my car to use, BUT can I remember to take them into the store and use them? No.. And do I want to go back to the car when I remember I forgot them?? No, not really. That would take time, which I am always short of.
Well Waste-Less had the same idea and did something with it. I’m so glad they did and I found them! The pouch is cute and small enough to fit into your purse or tote, and inside this pouch are 3 bags and each one holds up to 25 pounds. You can even buy an additional 2 bags that will fit with the other 3 for a total of 5 bags in one pouch!

Tote Your Groceries the Waste-Less Way
One thing that I'm trying to do to help the environment is to use fewer paper and plastic grocery bags when doing my shopping. I've managed to amass a sizable collection of Trader Joes reusable shopping bags (although I haven't yet won that $25 gift certificate), but the big problem with them is forgetting to bring them with me when I go shopping. I think I actually only have them with me maybe 30% of the time. Otherwise they're at home or in the other car.
That's why I was so excited to get a sample of Waste-Less shopping bags. Waste-Less bags are large, lightweight, reusable shopping bags that fold into a very small size—small enough that a set of three fits into a nifty little carrying case that you can put in a purse or jacket pocket. Keep a set on you and you'll never have to worry about forgetting your reusable bags again. The design is pretty stylish, too, and more designs are apparently on the way. Of course, you don't have to use them just for groceries; they make nifty tote bags for beach gear, books, and school stuff as well.
